Pinjarra Best Bet - Race 1 No. 4 Playing Games
The filly won twice earlier this season including when registering an impressive win by over two lengths in a Class 1 contest at Ascot in October.
Two of the three-year-old’s three subsequent starts saw her race at Listed level with both of those efforts seeing her finish outside the placings at Ascot.
The selection returned from a spell with a good third when narrowly beaten in a 1000m contest held on a good 4 track at Ascot early last month.
That contest has produced a couple of winners and the pick again acquitted herself well when having to overcome a pre-race veterinary check to finish third at the same venue.
The daughter of Playing God lost out by two-and-a-half-lengths when racing over 1200m last time and she is versatile with regard to tactics.
Laqdar Ramoly’s mount has an inside alley here and she looks up to returning to winning ways on her first start at this venue.
Swan Draught Maiden Tips (Race 5)
Pinjarra Favourite - Race 5 No. 9 Sassy Skye
The four-year-old is a regular at this venue with five of her six starts having come at this circuit.
Those efforts include four placings including when beaten half-a-length into third when contesting a 1400m maiden on a wet track here just over a year ago.
The selection has made just three subsequent starts with two of them coming this prep including when resuming over 1406m here April 10.
The daughter of Dundeel was beaten half-a-length into third when partnered by Lucy Fiore that day.
Fiore was again in the saddle when the pick finished in mid-division when beaten just over six lengths in a twelve-runner 1300m maiden here last week.
Having been allocated wide barriers for both previous starts this prep she has fared better in that regard here given she will jump from barrier three.
The booking of William Pike takes the eye and he can improve on his 29% strike-rate (16/55) when teaming up with trainer Summer Dickson.
Tabtouch Scan My Bet Maiden Tips (Race 6)
Pinjarra Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 8 Let Sparks Fly
The Daniel & Ben Pearce team saddled an across-the-card double on Saturday and their representative here has demonstrated solid maiden form in the past.
The filly registered placed efforts on three of her four starts in her first prep including when one-and-a-half-lengths second over 1410m at Bunbury in October.
The daughter of Epaulette ended that prep with a third-place finish in a 1420m at the same venue the following month.
While on the face of it she disappointed dropped to 1100m at Geraldton first up this prep that race is working out well with the winner (twice), third and fourth all winning since.
The distance was probably on the sharp side for the pick that day and she has since delivered a good second over 1413m at this circuit.
The step up in trip here is expected to suit and the filly looks up to recording her first victory.
J K Watts Memorial Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Pinjarra Value Bet - Race 7 No. 6 State Of Fury
While it took ten starts for the filly to break her maiden she has shown solid form since saluting in a 1230m contest at Albany in March.
The pick recorded a narrow victory when racing on a good 4 track that day and she has placed on two of her three subsequent outings.
The sole exception came when jumping at triple-figure odds before finishing last of eleven when racing over 1400m at Ascot on her penultimate start.
The selection was never involved that day but delivered a better effort when placing third in a Class 1 event over the same course and distance last week.
Darren McAuliffe’s filly was beaten one-and-a-half-lengths on that occasion shaping as if a step up to this distance would suit in the process.
While she tackles a stronger contest here she arrives here in good form and looks value to register her second win this prep.
