The pick was beaten just under five lengths in finishing fifth of seven stepped up to this distance that day and he gets a welcome drop to maiden company here.
The three-year-old arrives here on the back of a couple of victories in Cranbourne jumpouts, including when encountering the good 4 going forecast for this event.
The switch to country-level racing is a positive in this race and he looks up to saluting under Blake Shinn.

Pakenham Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 6 Gracie’s Rain
The daughter of Akeed Mofeed registered two wins in 2024 with both of those victories coming over this distance.
The four-year-old resumed this prep with a second in a 955m Benchmark 64 handicap at Moonee Valley in November.
The selection put a disappointing effort over the same track and trip behind her when saluting from a wide barrier in a Benchmark 64 handicap at Mornington last month.
The filly came home nearly two lengths clear of her rivals when racing from the front that day and similar tactics were employed over this course and distance last time out.
The winner came from off the pace on that occasion with the pick fading in the closing stages.
The return to Benchmark 64 level racing is in her favour here and jumping from an inside alley are both positive’s in this contest.
Emily Pozman takes a valuable three-kilogram’s off the fillies’ back with the pair looking capable of making all the running here.
Superior Food Services BM64 Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Pakenham Value Bet - Race 7 No. 1 Itsukushima
The gelding is a consistent sort having finished in the first two in seven of his last eight appearances.
The exception came when finishing five-and-a-half-lengths fourth in a 1400m Benchmark 58 handicap at Seymour when racing first up this prep.
A narrow defeat when runner-up stepped up to 1521m for a Restricted 64 handicap at Geelong when partnered by his jockey here Dakotah Keane followed.
While beaten nearly three lengths on his penultimate start the pick recorded a solid effort when contesting a 1600m Benchmark 64 handicap.
The selection went on to register his third win in the last twelve months when successful in a 1500m Restricted 64 handicap at Cranbourne earlier this month.
The son of So Think held on well having raced from the front on a good 3 track that day and similar tactics are expected in this event.
The pick carries top weight here and while a wide alley isn’t ideal he looks value to make all the running.

The New Zealand-bred showed good form on the synthetic track here last prep registering four consecutive placed efforts prior to saluting over 2200m at the end of August.
The five-year-old returned to action with a solid fourth, beaten just under five-and-a-half-lengths when contesting a Benchmark 58 handicap at Mornington at the start of this month.
The pick raced over 1500m on a good 3 track that day and the slight step up in distance is in his favour here.
Beau Mertens, on board for the gelding’s August win rides for the first time this prep with his mount boasting a good barrier three from the rail.
Trainer Charlotte Littlefield’s horses have been running well in the main recent weeks with her runners including a $17 winner at Stony Creek and second’s at $70 and $50.
The handler’s representative here is expected to have improved for his return to action and he is taken to surprise in the finale.
