GG Engineering Maiden Plate Tips (Race 4)
Pakenham Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 4 Newzeel Deal
This progressive staying type from the Alderson yard looks to have come back in good order after running fourth to Ain'tnodeeldun on Melbourne Cup day.
He did enough in his jumpout, looking in need of the hit-out, but coming into this looks very well suited resuming at the 1500m.
Jumping from a wide gate looks a positive as well, although likely to need cover in the run to produce a nice sprint, Newzeel Deal has room to move with a big stride about him.
Three of his four starts were on wet tracks, but arguably his best performance came on good ground in a stakes race, so I am confident that this colt can go through the grades by kicking off in this Maiden.
Kennards Hire Pakenham BM64 Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Pakenham Best Bet - Race 7 No. 10 Scream Dream
This talented daughter of Shamus Award was a stiff watch for backers when caught up at Pakenham last start and losing all momentum when the race had already gotten away from her.
Third-up and staying at 1400m in what looks a weaker race than what she faced there looks ideal, but she has drawn a dreaded inside gate once again.
Scream Dream will need the luck, but the form around Savannah Cloud, Yes Baby Yes and Rainbiel is so much stronger than what anything in this race shown to date.
She is progressive and just needs to confidence boosting win to skip her way through the grades, which we are expecting her to do now third-up with even luck.
Sportsbet Same Race Multi Fillies and Mares BM64 Tips (Race 8)
Pakenham Value Bet - Race 8 No. 12 The Sisters
This five-year-old was poorly ridden last start when finishing more than 12 lengths off the winner off the back of three good placings for the prep.
She was caught three-wide on the pace from a wide draw, but now getting a senior jockey on board and barrier six is a much more suitable draw with not a heap of speed towards her inside.
Although this looks a stronger race on paper than what she has been facing, she is still a mare in form and will have her chance to get that deserved win on the board.
If The Sisters can coast to the front and get it her own way, she will give a big sight at double figure odds.
