Racing.com 4YO & Up Maiden Plate Tips (Race 1)
Pakenham Next Best Bet - Race 1 No. 9 Marabi
This four-year-old first starter is certainly a late bloomer with plenty of ability based off of her two jumpouts.
She has a push button turn of speed which is what we love to see over these sprint trips, and looks well and truly metropolitan class.
The Mare is by I Am Invincible out of a Stakes winning Mare, so she is bred to be a gun and frankly, I am expecting a winning debut.
Marabi will just need a little luck from the inside gate, and with her turn of speed, although there are two other nice horses in this race, this one looks a gun in the making.

Pakenham Value Bet - Race 6 No. 3 Magnus Que Cee
I love the way that this bloke dug in deep to win at Stony Creek last start, defying the track pattern of the day which was to lead.
Being a get back and run on type, this big Pakenham straight will suit him down to the ground, which ultimately eliminates the wide barrier factor.
At his only other second-up run, Magnus Que Cee was narrowly defeated in a nice Maiden when sitting on the pace, so he does show some versatility when he draws a better gate.
Grit goes a long way in racing, so I am happy to take him at an each-way price when we know he has a crack.
Battery Zone BM64 Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Pakenham Best Bet - Race 7 No. 8 Elidi
I am very keen to take on the favourite here after a two and a half year spell, so last start winner Elidi fits the bill well.
This three-year-old filly has a shocking SP profile coming into the race with a $91 ninth and a $20 first next to her name, but the win was against a very nice horse over this track and trip.
Alexandra Bryan takes off 2kg once again which gives her 5.5kg off of the top weights, so she is incredibly well weighted.
Elidi is a natural get back and run on horse, so from the inside gate, you would think luck would be taken out of the equation, and just settle last and swoop rather than ride for luck, so she does look the one to beat here.
What time is the first race at Pakenham?
The first race at Pakenham jumps at 6pm with the last to be run at 9.30pm.
