Pakenham Value Bet - Race 2 No. 1 Colossal Star
This four-year-old finished third in a very strong form race on debut last September.
He was then freshened up before running third at Moe when a well-backed favourite, in what was another strong event.
Colossal Star failed at his next outing but he had come to the end of the prep by then, so I am confident that he can heavily feature here.
Winning a jumpout on the synthetic track prior to this return, this gelding from the local Jason Bridgman yard looks ready to produce fresh at an each-way price.

Pakenham Best Bet - Race 4 No. 7 Butter Chicken
Had she not been caught wide first-up, then the Maiden would be out of the way but it was still a great debut performance when beaten by a smart one in Knife's Edge.
Again, rider Jordan Childs will be forced to play his hand and send this filly back again then look to power home over the top of them, now taking the step up to the mile.
Write The Score looks the main danger, a galloper that finished second to a subsequent city winner last start, but this filly is on a big upwards trajectory and is open to plenty of natural improvement now at start two.
If Butter Chicken can get the back of one coming into the straight and more importantly, find cover, it is going to take a city class horse to hold her out on this bigger Pakenham circuit, which will suit.
Evergreen Turf BM64 Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Pakenham Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 4 Office Jim
He was unlucky not to win last start at Sale when heavily backed but was on the receiving of some interference in that contest.
There has always been a touch of class about Office Jim, a gelding that has been rather consistent with two wins and seven placing's over 13 starts to date.
Although his best form has been on wet tracks, the son of Magnus has still placed in three of his six attempts on good surfaces and seems to handle any going.
He has won at Pakenham and has also saluted with Dean Holland aboard, so in a moderate race this Thursday, there's a good opportunity to record win number three.

Verdict
Butter Chicken should take immense improvement from her first-up outing and prove awfully hard to beat in this event.
Office Jim was brilliant last start and only needs to run up to that to be hard to beat in this.
Colossal Star showed some promise campaign and a recent jumpout win showed there is still plenty of talent there.
