Oakbank Roughie - Race 2 No. 2 All Kyoto
The three-year-old has demonstrated improvement with racing since joining rookie trainer Tyson Cowan having been purchased for $5,000 at the Inglis December Online Sale earlier this season.
While the gelding beat just two rivals home when tenth on his first start for Cowan at Balaklava in February he finished eighth on his next two starts including over 1400m at Murray Bridge.
The selection was beaten just over five lengths when jumping at $71 at Murray Bridge and he went on to deliver a career best effort when fourth at this venue last month.
The son of All Too Hard lost out by just over a length in finishing fourth that day with that effort marking the gelding’s first outing on a wet surface.
Polly Brewster is again set to take three-kilogram’s off his back and with rain expected, her mount may prove up to providing Tyson Cowan with his first winner.

Oakbank Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 3 Pricilla’s Choice
The mare has shown she appreciates this track in winning once and placing third once from her three starts here.
Two of those efforts have come this prep with the first of those seeing her beaten just over one-and-a-half-lengths into third in a 1400m Benchmark 56 handicap here in early March.
While the five-year-old failed to shine when jumping at big odds for a metro contest at Morphettville next time she returned to the winners’ enclosure with an impressive success here subsequently.
The selection came home nearly five lengths clear of her nine rivals when jumping from barrier nine for a 1400m Benchmark 0-56 handicap when racing on a sound surface that day.
A run of three unplaced efforts followed however she returned to form with a narrow defeat when runner-up stepped up to 1550m at Bordertown five days ago.
Roslyn Day’s representative boasts a good barrier here and returning to this venue she is taken to record a win.

Oakbank Best Bet - Race 6 No. 1 Ambello
The son of Ambidexter has won twice from ten starts this season with his first win seeing him salute by a narrow margin over 1050m at Balaklava in February.
The gelding contested a Benchmark 0-56 handicap on that occasion and he has been running well since including when fourth over 900m at Murray Bridge on his penultimate start.
The selection was beaten just over one-and-a-half-lengths when jumping from barrier nine that day and he duly recorded his second win of the season when racing over this track and trip last time.
The five-year-old contested a Benchmark 0-56 handicap held on a soft 6 track that day with the quicker going expected here no issue.
The pick has again been allocated barrier eleven for this contest with jockey Connor Murtagh, on board for both wins this season set to ride.
Justin Pickering’s representative has finished in the first three in four of his five previous starts at this venue and he looks up to completing a double.

Oakbank Value Bet - Race 7 No. 13 Canidae
The veteran has eleven wins to his name with one of those coming over this course and distance.
The nine-year-old hasn’t been at his best this prep with three sixth place finishes the best he’s been able to manage since finishing eleventh at Strathalbyn on his return to action in March.
However, John Hickmott & Carina Riggs’ representative did take a step forward when beaten less than two-and-a-half-lengths in a Benchmark 60 handicap at Murray Bridge recently.
The pick jumped at big odds when contesting a thirteen-runner event held on a good 4 track that day catching the eye in finishing well having been ridden from off the pace that day.
Stacey Metcalfe, on board on that occasion is again set to ride here with her mount again expected to be ridden cold.
The son of Foxwedge drops in grade here and jumping from barrier seven looks value to register his first win of 2025.
