Oakbank Next Best Bet - Race 2 No. 5 Up The Den
The son of Pride Of Dubai jumped as favourite when making his debut on the Parks course at Morphettville at the end of last month.
The gelding raced form mid-division over 1000m that day prior to losing out by just over one-and-a-half-lengths when racing on a good 4 surface.
The form of that contest is working out well with the winner Steel Tsunami going on to complete a double when winning at Morphettville on Saturday.
Michael Hickmott’s representative had three of his rivals here behind him on debut with fourth All Shot, sixth Tripod Terror and eighth Coconata all finishing behind the selection.
The selection is expected to have improved for that debut effort with jockey Todd Pannell, on board on debut again set to ride.
A wide barrier isn’t ideal here however the drop to provincial-level racing is a positive and the pick looks up to breaking his maiden at the second attempt.

Oakbank Value Bet - Race 3 No. 14 Right Of Veto
The three-year-old delivered a solid second in a 1000m barrier trial at Strathalbyn prior to making her racecourse debut at Balaklava the following month.
The pick was beaten just over two-and-a-half-lengths when contesting a 1200m maiden held on a soft 5 surface on that occasion.
While the form of that contest could be working out better the filly is expected to appreciate the step up to 1400m here.
The daughter of Barbados is also expected to have improved for that debut experience having prepped for this contest with a solid third in a 1000m barrier trial at Strathalbyn last month.
The form of the Peter Hardacre team is a positive with the handler having won with three of his last five runners.
Teagan Voorham is set to ride for the first time here and racing on a sound surface for the first time her mount can break through for her first win.
Sportsbet Nobody Does It Easier Class One Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Oakbank Best Bet - Race 4 No. 5 Caribbean Breeze
The four-year-old showed ability in 2024 placing twice from four starts including when beaten just under four-and-a-half-lengths in placing second over this distance at Gawler in June.
The Barbados filly delivered a highly respectable effort in finishing fifth of seven in a 1050m maiden event at Morphettville on her seasonal reappearance in December.
The pick took a step forward to break her maiden when contesting a 1050m event held on a good 4 track at this venue when racing second up this prep.
Cody Reardon’s representative had to race wide and without cover when registering a solid sixth, beaten less than two lengths in a Strathalbyn Class 1 handicap over this distance last time.
The form of that event looks strong with the third and eighth both recording wins next time while the filly boasts a good barrier five from the rail here.
Lachlan Neindorf, on board here two starts back is a positive jockey booking here with the pair taken to return to winning ways.
Magain Real Estate Benchmark 56 Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Oakbank Roughie - Race 7 No. 3 Zufasta
The son of Zululand resumed with a narrow margin success in a 1000m Benchmark 64 handicap at Halidon in September.
The gelding raced on a good 4 surface that day and while he failed to make much impact in his next six starts they all came in stronger races than he tackles here, including at metro level.
The pick showed signs that his next win might not be far away when beaten just under one-and-a-half-lengths over 900m at Murray Bridge last time.
The five-year-old contested a Benchmark 56 handicap under Alana Livesey that day and she is again set to ride here.
The selection has shown good form at this venue in the past finishing in the first three in all three previous starts including in a 1050m Restricted 66 handicap in March last year.
Gordon Richards & Damien Moyle’s representative jumped from barrier thirteen that day and with a similar alley here he may prove up to recording his fifth career win.
