Northam Best Bet - Race 1 No. 2 Ocean Outlaw
He appeared a little disappointing as a beaten fav third-up at Ascot, however, the gelding still ran the second fastest last 600m of that race and back on firm ground suits.
Blinkers have also been applied to Ocean Outlaw for Thursday's assignment, with the three-year-old well placecd back to provincial level in what is the weakest race he's seen.
After an unlucky return when midfield in an Ascot Class 1, the gelding finished third in a decent three-year-old affair and a repeat of either of those efforts would see him win this.
Two Italian Stallions Maiden Tips (Race 5)
Northam Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 10 Milyeannup
A big, strong four-year-old from the Vernon Brockman stable, Milyeannup is knocking on the door for a breakthrough win and she shouldn't be far away now third-up.
Spelled after three competitive showings in her first campaign, the mare was unlucky via her April 18 return before being narrowly denied by Warning Shot second-up.
That winner was certainly due, arriving to that May 2 event fourth-up off three good lead-up runs, while Warning Shot and Milyeannup did clear out from the rest of their rivals.

Northam Roughie - Race 7 No. 5 Expelliarmus
The son Trade Fair didn't do much wrong via seven appearances over his last campaign, with the highlight coming third-up at Northam when bolting in with a 1600m Class 1.
Expelliarmus was competitive leading up to that victory and although he hasn't won first-up, the gelding has still performed well fresh and those runs have been over shorter trips.
Resuming at 1400m in a bit of a nothing race gives him a sniff, with the five-year-old working well via a quiet lead-up trial at Belmont and blinkers go back on for race day.

Northam Value Bet - Race 8 No. 7 His Eminence
Given his poor winning strike rate, His Eminence may be met with opposition in the market, however, he's ticking over well and low-rating stayers are often hard to place.
Now with five runs under the belt, the son of Blackfriars is ideally placed up to 2200m and he does have decent Northam stats, with a win and two seconds from three starts here.
He doesn't have much tactical speed but His Eminence can naturally land closer from a low draw, especially over this distance and he only needs to hold his form to be in the mix.
