Morphettville Best Bet - Race 5 No. 9 Zarkana
This four-year-old is knocking on the door for win two and despite going down as fav third-up on August 21, that third-of-nine finish was another solid performance.
Zarkana recorded the fastest last 400m and 200m of that most recent showing and perhaps staying at 1200m worked against her (her maiden win was over 1400m).
With three runs under her belt, Zarkana should be at peak fitness and now getting up in distance for what is an easier assignment, it's close to D-Day here.

Morphettville Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 4 A Samurai Mind
1100m was too sharp fresh and A Samurai Mind quickly bounced back off that when saluting second-up on July 27 in a race that's produced two subsequent winners.
The talented four-year-old is still putting it all together, however, ability has seen him win three of seven appearances to date and this is another winnable race.
He has completed a trial since his last start win on July 27, where opened up a decent margin despite covering ground and the gelding is well placed to salute again.

Morphettville Roughie - Race 7 No. 1 Anjopin
He's still lightly raced for a six-year-old and while his form fell away on paper as last season wore on, Anjopin was aggressively placed on multiple occasions.
After recording back-to-back wins in similar company to what he returns in on Saturday, the son of Danbird just missed in a BM74 when tried over seven furlongs.
Anjopin is best suited over shorter trips and after contesting some much stronger races, he was luckless in April when back in grade and there was money for him there.
Sportsbet W H Wylie Handicap Tips (Race 8)
Morphettville Feature Bet - Race 8 No. 1 Sghirripa
The topweight has 61kg here as the clear class horse of the field, although he's a proven weight carrier and it's not a huge ask over 1100m with that impost.
Connections will have Melbourne targets in mind later this spring for Sghirripa, who impressed last summer with back-to-back stakes wins in Victoria.
Outside of a monster Oakleigh Plate effort, he didn't quite go on with it over autumn, but it was a quick turnaround from January and he arrives here off a longer break.

Morphettville Value Bet - Race 9 No. 13 Raw Grunt
He's improved out of sight after showing little over three runs in his first prep and now third-up at start six in his second campaign, the rise to 1800m should suit.
His first-up win at Balaklava was much better than the narrow margin indicates, as Raw Grunt held-up a few times before getting clear and launching late over 1400m.
The four-year-old was far from disgraced second-up in this grade, where he made inroads in what wasn't the best ground and he carries 3.5kg less from that outing.
