Sportsbet Bet With Mates Handicap Tips (Race 3)
Morphettville Roughie - Race 3 No. 7 Nicajon
The veteran has shown solid form at this venue in the past including when winning over 1200m here in February last year.
Mick Shepherdson’s representative has placed here since that effort while he jumped at big odds for a Listed contest when last in action here last December.
While the gelding has been unable to win since he has placed third three times and recorded his best effort since when runner-up on a heavy 8 surface at Geelong last month.
The selection was beaten one-and-a-half-lengths when racing wide and without cover on that occasion and barrier five is a positive in this event.
The step up to 1525m appeared to suit at Geelong with the gelding having raced in sprint races in recent years.
Notably the pick has placed second in all three previous starts over this distance and he may prove up to springing a surprise stepping back up in distance.
The Fotobase Group Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Morphettville Best Bet - Race 4 No. 6 King’s Crossing
The New Zealand-bred demonstrated good form when winning by a narrow margin in a 2400m Benchmark 70 handicap at Geelong in October.
The four-year-old was spelled following an eighth over 2500m on a soft 6 track at Cranbourne the following month and has finished seventh on both starts this prep.
The first of those came over an inadequate 1600m when beaten four lengths at $51 when contesting a Benchmark 70 handicap in April.
Danny O’Brien’s gelding was never a factor when beaten over eleven lengths in a Benchmark 78 handicap at Caulfield subsequently.
The son of Almanzor crosses the border here and tackles an easier contest dropping in grade back racing on a forecast good 4 track.
Kayla Crowther should have no issues with barrier eight here and with a couple of runs under his belt the tactically versatile gelding looks ready to strike.
Adelaide Galvanising Industries Handicap Tips (Race 5)
Morphettville Value Bet - Race 5 No. 9 Chosen Blonde
Chris Bieg’s mare usually races from the front and completed a hat-trick when employing such tactics in winning a 1050m Restricted 66 handicap at Oakbank at the end of March.
The six-year-old had previously won by a narrow margin over 1000m on the Parks course here in a Restricted 62 handicap two weeks later.
The daughter of Choisir has placed on the Parks layout here on both subsequent starts including when beaten a length over 1000m in a Benchmark 80 handicap a fortnight ago.
The selection had a number of her rivals behind her when jumping at $26 that day and she gets in off a nice low weight in this contest.
The mare has had luck with the barrier allocation in her two most recent starts and she will again jump from an inside alley here.
Felicity Atkinson has been on board for her last two starts and the pair look value to register a second win together.

Morphettville Next Best Bet - Race 9 No. 7 Majesticity
The filly was a relatively cheap $20,000 purchase at the Gold Yearling Sale in 2022 and she demonstrated plenty of ability in her two jump outs in April.
The second of those saw her come home in front in an eight-runner 900m event at Ballarat and she duly broke her maiden back at that venue in her official race debut May 12.
The selection made all the running when contesting a 1000m maiden held on a soft 6 track that day and like here she jumped from an inside alley that day.
The form of that effort is working out well with the third home winning since and the fifth placing next time out.
The pick demonstrated good speed when coming home over three lengths clear of her rivals at Ballarat with a further three-length gap back to the third and she looks the main pace angle in this field.
The quicker going here shouldn’t pose any issues and with Alana Kelly retaining the ride she is selected to complete a double.
