Mark Naley Tribute Handicap Tips (Heat 4 Rebel Raider Series)
Morphettville Best Bet - Race 3 No. 3 Eagle Hawk Star
In what a looks a race of two with Miss Daniel, an impressive debut winner who should've gone back-to-back on August 28 and Eagle Hawk Star, the set-up does appear to favour the latter who is first-up off two jump-out wins at Pakenham.
Although she's likely got the rest covered, it's a completely different scenario here for Miss Daniel who is stepping from 1000m to 1200m and both of her outings to date have come on soft ground, whereas this three-year-old prevailed over this trip.
On a tight Cranbourne circuit, that April 30 victory had merit as he wasn't suited on that smaller track where he beat Murrami Express, a gelding that defeated a handy Set The Sails following that before three decent runs at Metro level.

Morphettville Value Bet - Race 5 No. 3 Earl Of Sandwich
Although he was quite raw and had his quirks, this gelding did show ability over two preparations in NSW and has now been moved the Phillip Stokes yard, he does look better placed to go through the lower grades in a weaker jurisdiction.
Tipped out after a midfield finish in a decent city Maiden at Canterbury in November, where he did over-race, Earl Of Sandwich remained mostly competitive throughout his second campaign, but ultimately wasn't progressing enough.
Without setting the world on fire, the August 27 trial was good and with the Ear Muffs, Lugging Bit and Visors all coming off now, it's at least a sign that he's settled into his new surroundings well, while in an Adelaide Maiden, he's certainly capable enough.

Morphettville Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 2 Star Status
This honest middle-distance galloper was five weeks between runs when plugging away over the mile here on July 31 and ridden colder on August 14, has finished off strongly before backing up seven days later where he dropped slightly in grade.
A late drifter in the betting on that occasion ($5-$7), it just never panned out for Star Status who never got off heels until the 200m and without that key earlier momentum, just whacked away late, lacking the turn-of-foot to make up the required ground.
He does rise 2kg in the weights, but this also a much easier assignment for the six-year-old and now finally on firmer ground (all five wins have come on good tracks), this is about D-day for him, bringing the best form lines for this contest.

Morphettville Favourite - Race 9 No. 12 Point Blaze
This talented and progressive mare from the Shayne Cahill yard broke the Maiden four runs into her second racing preparation, before an eye-catching run at Listed level over the Adelaide Carnival and was then spelled after the Guineas.
While she will likely get up over a little more ground than the 1200m of this second-up affair, her class is really standing out for a Benchmark 60 where most of her rivals have hit their ceiling, and her return effort over the 1050m was hard to miss.
She was always going to find that trip a little sharp first-up on August 21, but was very strong through the line late and coming down in grade further, Point Blaze may simply just be better than this lot, albeit just needs a pinch of luck in transit from a low draw.
