Morphettville Parks will run a nine race program on March 20 and our free betting tips along with our preview is available below.
Barossa Fine Foods Handicap Tips (Race 3)
Morphettville Next Best Bet - Race 3 No. 3 Don'tdreamit'sover
There were some excuses for this honest gelding last start when sent out as a $7 chance in the Listed Birthday Cup, a feature that he was briefly held-up in before trying to work home on the inside which was against the pattern of that event.
Trainer Michael Hickmott opted to freshen-up this import and he combines with Jessica Eaton again, an outstanding partnership that has recorded 24 winners this season at an excellent strike rate of 30.4%, which includes two victories with Don'tdreamit'sover.
A gelding that has been very competitive in every one of his 10 career starts to date, he does look much better suited with the drop back in trip this Saturday and from barrier four in a small field that isn't short on speed, the map has him getting a suck midfield run from gate four.
Adelaide Galvanising Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Morphettville Best Bet - Race 4 No. 1 Outlaws Revenge
Ryan Balfour has a very nice galloper on his hands in Outlaws Revenge, who had excuses on debut where he was a tardy away which proved costly, but he caught the eye late behind the very impressive Zoushine who franked that with a big win at Caulfield on Boxing Day.
With natural improvement along with jumping cleaner, the son of Reward For Effort made it a one act affair at Gawler when bolting into score over the 1100m in good time and has continued to progress, completing a winning hat-trick on February 27 at Murray Bridge when resuming off a decent freshen-up, so there's still improvement to come.
While he has drawn wide, which can be problematic on the Parks circuit, his victories just continue to stack up strongly on the clock, so with perhaps a nice race on the radar over the Adelaide Carnival, once again, I'll bank on his class to overcome any potential issues this Saturday.
Autumn Racing Carnival at Morphettville - May 1-15 Handicap Tips (Race 8)
Morphettville Value Bet - Race 8 No. 9 Dreamed
This daughter of Dream Ahead is a little underrated and is certainly a very capable performer when right with a close up second at Group Three level (2019) and a fifth-place finish in the Group Two Queen Of The South last Autumn being two of her main highlights to date.
Dreamed has taken her time to come to hand this time in, starting the campaign with a pair of plain performances but has steadily been building in three subsequent efforts, catching the eye late via her last few runs which have been against stronger opposition to what she faces here.
Only going up one kilo for an easier assignment, this mare is really well in this Saturday where she now has the services of jockey Todd Pannell and from barrier two over this 1950m journey, we'd love for them to camp at least few pairs closer early, something that she has been able to do in prior preparations.
Dominant Handicap Tips (Race 9)
Morphettville Roughie - Race 9 No. 6 Call Me Dexter
Despite not being able to find his best so far this campaign, it does look as though this lightly raced five-year-old has been crying out for the 1400m, a trip he finally gets via the last at Morphettville this Saturday.
Tipped out after showing very little in his first racing preparation, Call Me Dexter proved he was no slouch last winter, winning a Maiden in nice style despite racing a little greenly at Balaklava and then prevailed straight away at 64 level, holding off I'm A Legend in the process, who won a Benchmark 68 only two starts later.
Pulling up lame following that and then spelled, he worked home strongly third-up last start despite not rewarding favourite backers and drawing to settle forward of midfield over this extra trip, the aforementioned form suggests he's certainly capable enough in a race of this strength at his top.
