Frankston Sand Soil & Mini Mix 3YO Maiden Plate Tips (Race 1)
Moe Next Best Bet - Race 1 No. 5 Sandy Prince
Three career starts for three seconds means this gelding has just run into one better on the day or he may be a horse that is hard to catch.
In two of his three starts to date, Sandy Prince has placed behind Saif and The Garden are both handy and can make an impact over the spring, which is an encouraging sign that he may have just bumped into a couple of smart ones.
Today is D-day though and he really needs to be winning this before he is earmarked as a galloper that does not want to find the line in a race that is not strong on paper.
Mercedes-Benz Mornington BM70 Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Moe Best Bet - Race 6 No. 6 Brazen Bully
I do own a share in him and if he does run here, I am expecting him to win off the back of his fantastic last start win at Sandown in 64 grade.
Although this is a rise in class, I do feel that the last start 64 was stronger in quality, and his times say that he was a class above, almost running the fastest 1000m of the day, even though he was around eight or nine horses off the fence for the entirety of the trip.
1200m is now the box he needs to tick and although I do like him better over the shorter trips, this is not a strong lineup and he may just get away with this on ability.

Moe Value Bet - Race 8 No. 5 Trigger Point
Come the end of the day, out wide may be where you want to be in the fresh ground, which is exactly where Trigger Point will be from the wide gate and his natural racing pattern.
He loves heavy ground and although has shown a little bit of form at this track, so this looks the right race for him to be featuring.
The son of Denman is an each-way price and this looks a suitable race for him to at least find himself inside the top three.
