Ipswich Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 3 North Pole
The son of Farnan demonstrated ability in saluting in a barrier trial at Doomben prior to registering a fourth of six when debuting at Sunshine Coast in early January.
The pick jumped at $61 for that 1100m Sunshine Coast contest which was held on a soft 7 surface and he went on to perform well when third upped to 1200m next time.
The youngster raced from the front when encountering good going for the first time in contesting an eight-runner event at Eagle Farm that day.
Kelly Schweida’s representative was spelled following that third and he recorded his second Doomben barrier trial win when successful over 840m last month.
The selection went on to break through for his first win when racing from the front to salute by just under half-a-length in a 1240m event here three weeks ago.
Regular rider Angela Jones is again set to steer and jumping from an inside alley with the forecast heavy going unlikely to be an issue the pair are taken to complete a double.

Ipswich Value Bet - Race 6 No. 4 Rejoiced
The six-year-old registered his only victory so far this season when successful over 1400m in the Dalby Cup, an open handicap held at Dalby in September.
The gelding was spelled following a fifth of six at Sunshine Coast in December and resumed with a good fourth over 1000m at Toowoomba last month.
The selection was beaten just over a length into fourth when apprentice-ridden in a Benchmark 70 handicap held on a sound surface at Toowoomba on that occasion.
The son of Redoute’s Choice went on to place third stepped up to 1200m for a similar contest at the same venue just over two weeks later.
While beaten nearly seven lengths that day the pick put in a solid effort that day and is the winner of his only previous start on a heavy surface.
Trainer Pat Webster boasts a 25% strike-rate (9/26) at this track and his decision to scratch from a race at Toowoomba on Saturday to head here can pay dividends.

Ipswich Best Bet - Race 7 No. 3 Simply Excels
Tony Gollan’s gelding is a proven wet track performer with all five of his previous outings coming on soft or heavy going.
Those efforts include two wins with the first of those seeing him get home by a narrow margin in a 1200m maiden here in February.
The selection raced first up this prep on that occasion with a narrow defeat when runner-up stepped up to 1400m for an Eagle Farm Class 1 handicap following.
While the four-year-old could finish only third at Doomben subsequently he performed well over 1350m on his first start on a heavy surface.
The pick dropped from a Class 2 event to a Class 1 contest when doubling his career tally in scoring in a 1200m event at the same venue just under a month ago.
The form of that contest is working out well with the second and fifth both winning since while the son of Exceed And Excel remains open to improvement.
The gelding drops to provincial-level racing here and he looks capable of completing a double.

Ipswich Roughie - Race 8 No. 12 Sunny Disposition
The four-year-old debuted with a runner-up finish over 1400m at Ballarat in April last year when making her sole appearance for previous trainer Ciaron Maher.
The filly joined the Darren Bell stable subsequently and while she finished held in her first two starts for the Bell team she broke her maiden at Doomben last month.
The pick jumped at $41 for a 1350m maiden held on a wet track that day with the application of a tongue tie appearing to suit that day.
The daughter of Justify went on to prove that she can be competitive against winners when placing third over 1400m at Eagle Farm two weeks ago.
The selection jumped from a wide barrier when beaten just under one-and-a-half-lengths that day and she drops to provincial-level racing here.
While the filly reportedly failed to handle heavy going at Toowoomba three starts back she looks worth another try in testing conditions and may surprise stepping up in distance.
