Ipswich Tips for February 10
TAB VENUE MODE Class 3 Plate Tips (Race 2)
Ipswich Best Bet - Race 2 No. 1 Chauffeur
Anything over $1.50 is a good price in a field like this and we're getting that currently with PlayUp.
With the dream team of David Vandyke and Ryan Maloney in partnership, this horse comes to the races off the back of a run in the Magic Millions Sprint where he was just over five lengths from Jonker and Exhilarates.
This is so many classes below what he has faced this prep and on ratings alone, should be giving them at least 10kg.
Not expecting luxurious odds as already mentioned, but he is clearly the best horse in this race and on the program.
SPORTS BAR OPEN FRIDAY Class 3 Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Ipswich Value Bet - Race 4 No. 5 Classic Pearl
She is a bit of a plodder, but will be suited with the extra 200m here, now taking the step up to 2200m.
This mare has run one of her better races at Ipswich with a second placing, which was over the trip as well.
Classic Pearl was okay at Gatton last start, but does look like she needs the extended trip here.
This is not a strong race by any means so this five-year-old does get an opportunity for at least a top three finish and each-way odds are available.
TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY Class 1 Handicap Tips (Race 8)
Ipswich Next Best Bet - Race 8 No. 5 Red Bloom
Although a winner of just one from 15, she was only just touched off at Eagle Farm last start in stronger company.
Her one win came at her only ever start at Ipswich, while she has not missed a place at the trip either.
Third-up now into her prep, Red Bloom will be hard fit and coming back to 1200m does look ideal considering the form around her at this journey two starts back.
If she is going to win another race then this looks about the ideal scenario for that to occur.

Verdict
Chauffeur is a short favourite in Race 2, but deservedly so.
Red Bloom finds an ideal race to put win number two on the board now back to provincial level.
Classic Pearl is very dour, but does look suited over 2200m in this race at an each-way price.
