Happy Valley Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 4 Majestic Delight
It was a solid debut over 1200m at Sha Tin and Majestic Delight followed that up with a third-of-twelve finish when switching to Happy Valley for start two.
Nothing was able to threaten a dominant all-the-way winner (Lucky Planet) via that April 16 event, but this gelding did make inroads from back in the field.
In the finish, Majestic Delight had a half-length margin on Goko Win via that latest outing and he's far less exposed overall than the current market elect.
With a kinder draw for Wednesday's third-up attempt, Karis Teetan has more options early and he was aboard via a nice tick-over trial on April 29.
Saint-Cloud Handicap Tips (Race 5)
Happy Valley Value Bet - Race 5 No. 8 Jubilant Winner
This Jamie Richards-trained galloper has been competitive in all seven starts to date and the four-year-old steps up to 1650m for this Class 4 assignment.
Jubilant Winner arrives to this third-up tilt off two thirds at Sha Tin and he was in the market via the latest when rising to 1400m (returned over 1200m).
The son of Capitalist had a look around Happy Valley when taking out a trial here on March 14 and this is arguably the weakest race he's seen in Hong Kong.
From a wide alley, Jubilant Winner will need some luck in running (likely to go back), but a good tempo is predicted up front and he does have upside.
The France Galop Cup Tips (Race 6)
Happy Valley Best Bet - Race 6 No. 2 Aurio
When campaigning as 'Rapido' in Australia, Aurio recorded a big maiden triumph to finish his first prep and he returned with an impressive metro win before being sold.
The four-year-old is back in grade to Class 4 level this evening after contesting eight Class 3 events and his form fell away before a freshen-up.
Aurio was hard to miss when strong past the line via an April 28 trial and the gelding has shown enough to suggest that he can measure up in better company.
Connections are looking to get on the board in Hong Kong with this softer placement and Aurio now gets the services of champion hoop, Zac Purton.
Parislongchamp Handicap Tips (Race 9)
Happy Valley Roughie - Race 9 No. 6 Wolf Coming
There is rain predicted and any give in the ground shouldn't hurt the chances of Wolf Coming, who won his last two European starts on heavy tracks.
This colt is now under the care of Danny Shum and in three Hong Kong trials leading into his stable debut, Wolf Coming has moved well in all of those heats.
He's been looked after in his workouts, which includes the latest when going to the line under his own steam via a 1200m trial at Conghua on April 25.
Wolf Coming should have enough tactical speed to hold up from gate four (settled handy in both wins) and this isn't the strongest of Class 3 sprints.
