Happy Valley Best Bet - Race 4 No. 2 Party Warrior
Francis Lui and Vincent Ho will be looking to go one better with this son of Contributor, who has strung together a hat-trick of second place finishes from three career outings, and easily could've saluted in the last two of those efforts.
Party Warrior was only a stride off winning on July 7 over the Happy Valley 1000m, a track/trip he remained to start the new season on September 8 when inconvenienced at a key stage late, which resulted in a half-length defeat behind Jazz Steed.
To show tenacity by still picking himself up late and take a narrow gap was admirable, while camping just off a good speed this evening from gate seven, it looks his chance with even luck to record a much-deserved breakthrough victory.

Happy Valley Value Bet - Race 5 No. 3 Aurora Pegasus
Last season's leading Hong Kong trainer Caspar Fownes has got off to a somewhat of a slow start to this season, albeit the leading yard did get warmer in October and November last year, so expect a spike in performances soon.
He saddles up Aurora Pegasus for this second-up attempt, a gelding that sustained a long run to win at Class 3 level before a decent lay-off and although wasn't able to find the winner's stall in the return prep, he remained competitive.
The lightly raced seven-year-old didn't have things to suit in that recent fresh tilt when back in a slowly run affair, but it was a decent effort considering and with the 3kg claim engaged here along with a faster tempo, he could be a big improver.
Creasy Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Happy Valley Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 11 Meaningful Star
He was hardly disgraced throughout his initial Hong Kong preparation, finding the Class 3's at Sha Tin over 1200m-1400m a little slick early before finishing off quite well on April 25 when stepping up to the mile.
While the son of Pivotal is up in grade off the return run on September 9 where we were with him, he plummets in the weights, carrying just 53kg following that strong chasing effort with 60.5kg, where Purton dictated on Piano Solo up front.
With a run under his belt versus key threats in Xiang Ba Qi and Superbella, two resuming gallopers that are rising in the weights off victories last season, the progressive Meaningful Star may have just found his right set up on Wednesday night.
Cooper Handicap Tips (Race 8)
Happy Valley Roughie - Race 8 No. 7 Seven Heavens
On his poor Happy Valley strike rate and overall record, this seven-year-old is deservedly a big price, however, he did put together a string of consistent performances at the back end of last season and the return run was good without luck.
Seven Heavens bolted in by three lengths at Sha Tin in June before coming back to Class 3 level, resuming in this grade on September 8 where he was off the speed and wide, yet was still the pick of the chasers behind the quinella who were clearing out somewhat.
From a better draw in five here, jockey Luke Ferraris can have him at least a pair closer on settling and with cover off what should be a kinder run in transit, the Caspar Fownes-trained gelding can figure in the finish off his encouraging recent form.
