Claire Lever only has a small team, but she places them well and the stable has been going nicely, with three winners and four placegetters from her last 12 starters.
Yes Siree was among the recent victors and while he was a notable drifter on debut after opening at an odds-on quote, he was impressive in his Wyong breakthrough.
The three-year-old sustained a wide run from off the speed in a tactical affair and prior to that May 1 performance, Yes Siree did work strongly in two trials.
JCF Contracting BM64 Handicap Tips (Race 5)
Goulburn Value Bet - Race 5 No. 2 Whetu
The son of Dundeel had no second-up form leading up to his last attempt via a metro BM64, so his last performance can be forgiven and he needed that gallop.
He was sound prior to that when resuming in a provincial BM68, while the seven-year-old hasn't finished out of the money in three third-up showings.
On wet ground and over a similar trip, Whetu bolted in third-up last campaign in this grade and last winter, he was a metro BM72 winner with only 1kg less than he has here.
Goulburn Australia Class 1 Handicap Tips (Race 8)
Goulburn Best Bet - Race 8 No. 1 Superhero
Middle and wider lanes have been favoured at Goulburn, especially late in meetings, so connections shouldn't be put off with barrier 11 in this Class 1.
Superhero was gelded ahead of May resumption and the three-year-old caught the eye fresh at Kembla Grange, with the extra 100m a positive second-up.
After a second-up win in spring, he was second to a subsequent Group 3 winner and he was then third in a race that included Give Me Space (Group 3 winner at his next start).
