Bagot Handicap Tips (Race 3)
Flemington Best Bet - Race 3 No. 5 Tralee Rose
After putting together back-to-back wins this prep, she then went on to run second at this track over 2600m, an honourable run in defeat.
The long straight and flat track seems to suit her big, loping action where she can really extend from the back of the field.
The four-year-old mare looks to be bred to run out the 2800m strongly, being a daughter of Tavistock.
She has opened up as a $3.30 favourite, and deservedly so, looking the horse who is now ready to peak, fourth up for the campaign and trekking beautifully to the 2800m.

Flemington Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 1 Riding The Wave
This ex-Kiwi has had three starts in Australia, including a win two starts back and a second placing last start down the Flemington straight to Defiant Dancer, the favourite of the Standish.
He has a few big ticks next to his name at the moment, the first being that straight track experience and running so well, proving he will be very effective in this race.
The second is that he gets in-form apprentice Will Price in the saddle, bringing his weight down to 58.5kg.
The third tick is that he is dropping back in class, and although his weight has risen, the claim now makes the drop back in grade a more important factor.

Flemington Value Bet - Race 7 No. 6 Highland Jakk
He is in good form this prep, but is just struggling to find the winners stall.
He was solid first-up at Sandown, before a game third here at Flemington behind Independant Road and Hasseltoff.
Apprentice Liam Riordan seems to get the best out of him, having three rides and yet to miss a place, including both starts this preparation.
The outside barrier suits, so if he can get a cozy run in transit on a three-wide line, he can prove hard to beat.
