Eagle Farm Value Bet - Race 4 No. 6 Propose
Mark Kropp’s youngster demonstrated ability in his first prep racing including when runner-up over 1200m at Toowoomba in April.
The filly was spelled following that effort and she has shown improvement this prep winning two of her four starts.
The pick broke through for her first when successful by a narrow margin in a 1350m maiden held on a good 3 surface at Warwick at the end of August.
The daughter of Rothesay has raced on wet tracks in both subsequent starts firstly when third in the 1625m Toowoomba Guineas at Toowoomba in September.
The going was a heavy 8 when the pick was beaten just under ten lengths into third that day and she demonstrated improvement when saluting here last month.
The selection came home half-a-length clear of his eight rivals in an 1820m handicap held on a soft 5 surface that day.
While this rates a tougher race Mark Du Plessis’ mount remains open to improvement and dropping in distance looks value to complete a double.

The six-year-old is a triple winner over this distance including when delivering a length victory in a Class 6 handicap at Gold Coast in September.
That triumph came on the back of two second-place finishes in competitive events over 1200m at Doomben including when a close third in a Benchmark 78 handicap.
Gary Doughty’s sprinter won on a good 4 track at Gold Coast but has shown solid form on wet tracks in the past including when fifth at Sunshine Coast in August.
The gelding had a valid excuse having reared at the start and lost ground when never a factor in a 1200m Benchmark 85 handicap at Doomben last time.
The son of Bel Esprit is usually ridden cold and he is expected to put that below par effort behind him dropping back in distance.
Cody Collis takes a valuable two-kilogram’s off the gelding’s back with the pair selected to record their first win together.
U&U Recruitment Class 3 Handicap Tips (Race 6)

The Chris & Corey Munce team boast a 25% strike-rate (3/12) when teaming up with jockey Martin Harley and they team up with the four-year-old in this event.
The selection won three of his final four starts last prep including by a length over 1000m when contesting a Class 3 handicap here in July.
The gelding recorded a win on a soft 7 surface when jumping a short-priced favourite on that occasion and he was spelled subsequently.
While the son of Shooting To Win could have performed better in his sole barrier trial at Doomben he took a step forward when third over 1000m here first up this prep.
The pick has performed well in placing over this distance in the past while he boasts a strong second up record.
The switch to a soft 5 track is in his favour and jumping from barrier five he looks up to delivering a victory racing over 1200m for the first time since May.

The pick got home by a narrow margin in a seventeen-runner contest held on a soft 6 track that day and he acquitted himself well upped to 1600m here subsequently.
The filly has been campaigned over shorter this prep including when runner-up in a 1200m Benchmark 78 handicap held on a heavy 8 track at Toowoomba first up.
The daughter of Under The Louvre jumped as favourite for a Benchmark 90 handicap over the same distance here as a result of that effort.
However, the selection could finish only third in a six-runner field when racing on a good 4 surface on that occasion.
The return to 1400m is in the fillies favour and with Robbie Dolan, on board for two of her wins last season again set to ride she can return to winning ways in the finale.
