Eagle Farm Tips for April 3
QLD GUINEAS DAY 1 MAY 3YO QUALITY HANDICAP Tips (Race 5)
Eagle Farm Best Bet - Race 5 No. 3 Gotta Kiss
On good ground and in a small field, I am hoping that offsets the negative inside gate for this talented three-year-old.
She was last seen running a solid fifth in the Magic Millions Guineas over 1400m at the Gold Coast, a much stronger event than this, and now coming back to arguably her favourite track (two wins and three seconds from five starts), gets ideal conditions to be the one to beat.
Gotta Kiss will need to probably half miss the kick from the inside gate to take luck out of the equation, as she does love to get back and swing wide, with some clear air at the top of the straight, I do feel she is the best bet on the Eagle Farm program.
OAKS DAY 5 JUNE BENCHMARK 90 Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Eagle Farm Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 6 She Za Boss
This mare should be peaking now fourth-up into her campaign and yet to miss a placing three starts into the prep, culminating into a win last start at this track.
It does look a two horse race between She Za Boss and Wren's Day near the top of the weights, but with a pull in weights, I am confident that when the whips are cracking, that this girl can maintain her sprint for longer.
She is yet to miss a placing at Eagle Farm in four attempts and loves good ground, so she really does get her ideal conditions to prove the one to beat.
STRADBROKE DAY 12 JUNE Class 6 Handicap Tips (Race 8)
Eagle Farm Value Bet - Race 8 No. 5 Vinco
This galloper deserved the last start win at this track off the back of two game second placings, but I think the key was race fitness and a good track that secured him that win.
Vinco now takes the step-up to the mile, a distance that has never been within his grasp before, although when going back through his form, three of his five starts at this trip have been in Stakes company.
This is not a Stakes race by any means and he looks to be in career best form consistency wise, so I think we will find out at class 6 level if the mile really does suit.
