The Irish-bred gelding registered his second win at Ipswich when ending his last prep with a victory in a 2180m Benchmark 72 handicap in May.
The selection came home over six lengths clear of his rivals when racing on a good 4 track that day.
The seven-year-old resumed over an inadequate 1500m and jumping at big odds finished a well held five length ninth of ten at Eagle Farm.
The son of Awtaad demonstrated a marked improvement however stepped up to 2000m for his second start this prep.
That effort saw the selection beaten one-and-a-half-lengths into third in a Benchmark 70 handicap contest.
Both of those efforts came on good 4 surfaces and he races on a going rated a soft 6 or wetter for just the second time in his career.
Trainer Chris Waller and jockey Ryan Maloney boast a near 21% strike-rate (5/24) this season and they can improve on that with a win here.

While the five-year-old failed to score in her first three starts this prep she did manage two placed efforts in Benchmark 88 handicap races in Sydney.
The second of those efforts saw the selection beaten less than a length when racing on a soft 5 surface.
The mare failed to shine when jumping at $12 switched to a good 4 track at Rosehill next time and she was spelled subsequently.
The daughter of Cable Bay has gone on to win both starts since her return to action including by nearly two lengths in an Eagle Farm Benchmark 90 handicap last time.
The pick lost a plate having made all that day and with the step up to Listed company unlikely to prove an issue she looks capable of completing a hat-trick.

That Doomben effort marked the pick’s first start in over a year having ended 2023 with a runner-up finish over 1830m at Eagle Farm in October of that year.
The son of Vadamos boasts an inside barrier in this contest and is taken to complete a double.

The filly was maintaining her unbeaten record when saluting that day and while she has won just once since that success did come in a sprint here in April.
The selection came home half-a-length clear of her rivals when contesting a 1350m fillies handicap on a good 4 track that day.
Matthew Dunn’s representative has jumped at $26 for all four subsequent starts including when down the field in the Group 1 Queensland Oaks at Eagle Farm in June.
That Group 1 effort marked the fillies’ final start of last season and she took a step forward when successful in a 1050m barrier trial at Beaudesert last month.
The pick has won first up in the past and receiving weight from her rivals she looks value to resume with a win.
