Cascade QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap Tips (Race 2)
Doomben Value Bet - Race 2 No. 3 Adranos
The son of Capitalist demonstrated ability when delivering a length second in a barrier trial over 1000m at this venue in February.
The gelding has raced at this track in both race starts to date, including when two lengths third in a 1200m maiden here early last month.
Adranos overraced early on that day and was forced to race wide when coming home fourth over the same track/trip subsequently.
He was beaten over three lengths last time out and he's expected to appreciate the drop back in distance here, while he should get cover in the big field.
Having raced on a Soft 5 track on both previous outings, Adranos should have no issues with underfoot conditions here and he looks value to score with Ryan Maloney booked to ride.
Ladbrokes Racing Club Benchmark 75 Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Doomben Best Bet - Race 7 No. 3 Goldeeluck
The four-year-old won twice last prep, including by a narrow margin in a 1500m Class 2 set weights contest at Warwick in October.
The gelding was spelled following that effort and while he could finish only seventh at Gold Coast first-up which came in a highly competitive 1200m Class 3 handicap.
Goldeeluck returned to winning ways when delivering a comfortable two-and-a-half-length success in a 1300m Benchmark 70 handicap at Toowoomba next time.
Racing on a Soft 5 track that day, the gelding was ridden from off the pace and he followed that up with a good third in a metro contest at Eagle Farm earlier this month.
The extra distance here is no issue, having performed well at the trip in the past and she looks up to returning to winning ways fourth-up.
Ladbrokes Yard Comments Benchmark 65 Handicap Tips (Race 9)
Doomben Next Best Bet - Race 9 No. 10 Skywriter
The mare showed good form earlier this prep when placing on her first two starts, including when narrowly beaten over 1200m at Mornington in January.
Skywriter placed second in a 1200m maiden held on a Good 4 track on that occasion and she won a Gold Coast barrier trial following a third at Bendigo subsequently.
The four-year-old jumped as favourite before delivering a fifth when a shade disappointing in a track/trip maiden on her penultimate outing.
She made no mistake when contesting a similar event subsequently, coming home nearly two lengths clear of her nearest pursuer over the same course and distance.
Skywriter reaffirmed her liking for the forecast Soft 5 track expected here that day and she tackles winners for the first time here.

Doomben Roughie - Race 10 No. 5 Ready For Anything
Trainer Matthew Dunn boasts a 19% strike-rate (19/102) and a healthy level stakes profit with his runners at Doomben in the last 12 months.
His representative here performed with credit in 2023, including when delivering a victory in a similar race to this over 100m at Eagle Farm last June.
While beaten over three lengths into ninth when contesting a Class 6 handicap at Eagle Farm first-up this prep, it’s of note that he jumped at odds of $26 that day.
Ready For Anything has shown a liking for this venue in the past and is expected to have improved for his return to action.
The switch to a forecast wet track is no issue and connections' decision to scratch from a Benchmark 78 handicap here on Saturday may pay dividends.
