Doomben Best Bet - Race 4 No. 1 Garibaldi
This gelding has struck a strong vein of form this prep after promising plenty early days.
He has had three starts this time in, winning his last two at Class 2 level with latest at Eagle Farm in December and the form around him has been verystrong at this level.
Garibaldi seems to be answering all questions put before him this prep and now with Michael Rodd in the saddle, gets another top line jockey aboard to steer him home.
With a little luck in running from a wide barrier, he should be able to string three wins on end.

Doomben Value Bet - Race 7 No. 5 Mangione
This boy went under last start at short odds but he was only second-up and up to the mile where he still was okay to the line.
Now third-up, at peak fitness and over a suitable 2000m journey, Mangione could be the one that the market finds late and the one that is hitting the line the strongest.
Although he has not won over 2000m, this son of Fiorente has placed in three of five attempts, including behind Humbolt Current when he was at his peak last preparation.
In a line-up where there are multiple runners in-form, he is the one that is still yet to peak throughout the prep and can pounce with fresher legs.

Doomben Next Best Bet - Race 8 No. 8 Socialising
Although she has not quite hit the form that of her last prep, Socialising has been racing in much tougher company.
Last prep, this mare had won four of her five starts so did deserve a crack at Stakes grade to see if she can measure up.
First-up, she was simply too far back in a big field but still worked home okay before running very well at Class 6 levle two starts back.
Beaten in a strong race behind Athiri last start, but now right back in class and fourth-up, this five-year-old can swoop on the leaders late under jockey Jim Byrne.
