With a better draw and/or a savvier ride, this five-year-old would've won the Armidale Cup last start, where he did plenty of work with 60kg.

CJC 18th February Race Day Class 2 Tips (Race 8)

Coonabarabran Value Bet - Race 8 No. 12 Raoul

Although he was awful via Provincial BM64 return, there were excuses post-race (poor recovery) in a run that was way too bad to be true.

With a freshen-up and decent tick-over trial, Raoul gets the benefit of the doubt for now, especially given his consistency prior to that flop.

The Class 3 Country and Highway form over his last prep is certainly good enough for a Set Weights Class 2, where he is each-way odds.
