Canterbury Roughie - Race 4 No. 1 Chief Conductor
He's now a double figure quote after going down as fav last start on the Randwick-Kensington circuit, where Chief Conductor was no match for a slick Headwall.
On paper, the six-year-old was well placed in that August 14 event, where he was back in grade from a Saturday BM88, however, he again raced on heavy ground.
The gelding hasn't won in four tries on heavy tracks, which have all come this prep and now on firmer footing, while staying in a BM72, he's over the odds on Wednesday.

Canterbury Value Bet - Race 5 No. 4 Monfelicity
This David Payne-trained mare should be at peak fitness now with three runs under her belt and the last two appearances have come over similar distances.
Monfelicity was a touch plain last start, especially when factoring in the strong second-up run, although she was in the worst part of the track via slowly run race.
Her three outings this campaign have all come in Saturday BM78's, so this midweek BM72 is a drop in grade and she should be settling handy from a low draw.

Canterbury Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 8 Mad Deel
While the option is there for connections to find something a little easier given his low rating, Mad Deel has some upside and this isn's a strong metro affair.
The Peter Snowden-trained galloper was specked at a price first-up and given he looked quite forward going off his winter lead-up trials, that market push didn't shock.
He briefly loomed as a threat before fitness gave out behind a flying Yorkshire (won again last week) and with any improvement from that, he's right in the mix here.
James Squire Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Canterbury Best Bet - Race 7 No. 3 Noble Conqueror
It's a tricky meeting for a standout, however, this Chris Waller-trained gelding is in very good touch and he only needs to hold form to be a major player here.
Noble Conqueror has been mostly competitive in Victoria before a recent switch up north and in a similar affair to this two starts back, he rattled home for third.
The five-year-old recorded that fastest last 600m/400m and 200m of that August 7 card, while J-Mac is now aboard after a narrow miss in a Saturday BM78.
