XXXX PLATE Tips (Race 3)
Canterbury Next Best Bet - Race 3 No. 6 Allinthistogether
By the 2009 Melbourne Cup winner Shocking and out of a High Chaparral mare, this half-sister to New Zealand Group One winner Wyndspelle will get over more ground, but she may just have the class to way with what is a thin Maiden.
The strong partnership of Mark Newnham and Josh Parr combine with Allinthistogether, with Parr having been aboard for her two lead-up trials this autumn, the last of those being an impressive win at Randwick on May 8.
After tracking the leader early on that that occasion, the turn-of-foot over late from this long striding filly was particularly impressive and with two 1050m hit-outs in May, she does look ready to produce on Wednesday.

Canterbury Value Bet - Race 4 No. 2 Gin 'N' Bitters
CHINA HORSE CLUB HANDICAP Tips (Race 5)
Canterbury Best Bet - Race 5 No. 6 Stoical
In what isn't the strongest of Midweek affairs and with the speed to take up the running in this small line-up, we'll get a better gauge on this three-year-old here, who couldn't have been more impressive on resumption at Hawkesbury.
Showing glimpses of potential over his first few campaigns although just doing too much wrong in his races, Stoical looks a much more mature galloper this time in, which was evident in his two trials prior to that return on May 20.
This gelding made light work of a field that included Miracle Street, a mare that had some reasonable form lines either side of that effort and with any improvement, is well placed to progress further here over the 1100m which should suit.
RANVET HANDICAP Tipd (Race 6)
Canterbury Roughie - Race 6 No. 2 Canyonero
A much-maligned galloper early days given he didn't break the Maiden until start 16 despite strong performances versus handy company, this gelding has now managed to record a further three victories from his next 19 outings.
Under the care of Richard Litt after first campaigning for Mark Newnham, Canyonero has certainly been consistent over his last few preparations with back-to-back wins last spring and his most recent triumph came second-up this campaign.
Following that victory, the son of Pierro placed behind Steely and Mensa Missile which reads well enough for this event as does the last start fourth over this track/trip, versus a field that had a little more depth overall compared to what he faces here.
