Belmont Next Best Bet - Race 2 No. 6 Correct Choice

This appears to be a shade weaker than the Pinjarra maiden that he contested third-up on January 11, where the Bob Peters galloper just missed in a three-way finish.

A well bred three-year-old from the same family as 2010 Railway Stakes winner Gathering, Correct Choice has the ideal platform to run out a strong mile on Thursday.

The son of So You Think is improving with every run and while he's drawn out here, he does have some tactical speed and the gelding will cross early under Chris Parnham.

Furphy Maiden Tips (Race 4)

Belmont Value Bet - Race 4 No. 9 Faraway Bay

Although this mare has had her fair share of chances, she hasn't done much wrong in three starts this prep and after drawing out in all of those runs, she now has gate two.

Following an even resumption at Pinjarra, Faraway Bay has recorded two competitive showings over 1500m and given the little freshen up from December 30, she drops to 1300m.

From an inside alley, the four-year-old should land in the first few pairs on settling and with a softer run this time around, she's going well enough to figure at an each-way price.

Belmont Favourite - Race 5 No. 3 Olajuwon

This is well and truly D-Day for Olajuwon, a Stefan Vahala-trained galloper who couldn't have a better set-up on Thursday, where he's fourth-up with a staying run under the belt.

That 10 ten furlongs on January 21 at Bunbury was a strong one, where a tearaway leader had them running and from the rear of the field, this gelding got home nicely for third.

His last start effort followed a 1675m attempt second-up, where Olajuwon recorded strong closing splits and now hard fit from a better draw, he can settle at least a few pairs closer.

Belmont Best Bet - Race 6 No. 2 Gold Citation

While he covered ground at start two, Gold Citation got the job done in a maiden that's produced five winners and there's been metro form through some of those races.

He then ran second to Oscar's Fortune twice, who was runner-up in the Group 1 Winterbottom over the carnival, so the heavy market support for him first-up was no shock.

Gold Citation gets another chance second-up, as he laid in fresh and still nearly saluted despite being held up at a key stage, while he has the speed to offset barrier seven.
