The three-year-old had won two lead-up trials ahead of that recent outing, although he'd only completed one of those this campaign, so there should be plenty of improvement to come.

Although six-furlongs looks sharp resuming off a WA Oaks campaign, the daughter of Magnus was a lot more competitive in the 1200m-1650m range before contesting stakes races over more ground.
Those sprinting performances include a second behind Rear Admiral over the Ascot 1200m and that galloper won four on the trot that season before recording two-fourths at Listed level.
Without the blinkers on and after being in traffic, Marri Martini was strong through the line via a 1000m Belmont trial on August 28 and on ability alone, she's in the mix via a weak Class 1 here.

With two competitive runs since crossing west and joining the Steven Burton stable, Diamond Tipped shouldn't be far off a peak run now, with the step back up to 1400m a positive third-up.
First-up for the new yard, the five-year-old went to the line with Miss Ava at Pinjarra, an in-form and fit galloper that had bolted in with a decent Belmont maiden back in early August.
Miss Ava also franked that Pinjarra form when saluting by a big space at Northam on August 31, whereas this gelding was luckless when midfield behind a progressive Patron Of Kings a day earlier.

Given she has no first or second-up form to her name, this mare seemed to be ticking over okay in her first two winter appearances before stepping up to seven furlongs here on August 23.
In a race dominated by Count The Sessions, who was perfectly placed on the speed and in a stalking role just behind leaders, Arracity was never in calculations after settling a long way back.
With a win and a second from two heavy track attempts, she should be fine if the rain hits and on the 54.5kg minimum, the seven-year-old maps for more favours from gate three.
