Balaklava Tips April 17
Sportsbet Make It Look Easy Maiden Plate Tips (Race 1)
Balaklava Best Bet - Race 1 No. 9 Gotta Go Guru
Trained by Andrew Gluyas, Gotta Go Guru showed little in her first two barrier trials prior to delivering a fourth in a 1000m event at Morphettville Parks in February.
The filly jumped at big odds before showing promise when sixth in a 1000m at Morphettville Parks nine days later.
The three-year-old came home fifth when fancied in the market here subsequently, with connections stepping her up to 1600m following that effort.
That step up in trip has seen Gotta Go Guru place at Murray Bridge on each of her last two starts, including when beaten half-a-length into second there earlier this month.
The extra trip here looks likely to suit and the least experienced runner in the field is taken to break her maiden at the fifth attempt.

Balaklava Roughie - Race 4 No. 5 I Tell Ya What
The three-year-old registered a couple of respectable efforts in metro maiden races at Morphettville Parks earlier this season.
The gelding was spelled following the second of those, which saw him finish seventh in a 1250m contest having jumped at odds of $31.
Trained by Jon O’Connor, I Tell Ya What vook a step forward when beaten just over two lengths into fourth in a 1000m maiden at Murray Bridge when racing first-up this prep.
The gelding raced on a Soft 5 track that day and encountered similar conditions when sixth over 1200m at Gawler when last in action a week ago.
The son of Pride Of Dubai caught the eye in finishing well having raced from off the pace in that Gawler contest and the return to a sound surface is no issue here.

Balaklava Value Bet - Race 5 No. 3 Plaisir
The veteran galloper proved that he still has wins in him when delivering a one-and-a-half-length victory over 1400m at this venue in December.
The gelding has placed second three times since then, including when contesting a Benchmark 56 handicap at this venue three starts back.
Plaisir raced on a Good 4 track when beaten half-a-length that day and again performed well when runner-up over 2050m at Strathalbyn on March 27.
Trained by John Hickmott & Carina Riggs, the ten-year-old failed to shine when beaten nearly sixteen lengths over 2150m at Oakbank at the start of the month.
That Oakbank effort came when contesting a Restricted 62 handicap event, with the switch to a Restricted 58 handicap a positive here, while he has a good record at Balaklava.

Balaklava Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 2 Super Alana
The four-year-old delivered a victory by over one-and-a-half-lengths when contesting a 1050m maiden at this venue when racing first up this prep.
While she failed to shine stepped up to metro-level racing at Morphettville subsequently, Super Alana has shown improvement with racing since being freshened following that effort.
The mare placed over 1200m in a Restricted 58 handicap here in early February and went on to finish one place better in a 1350m contest at Strathalbyn just over two weeks later.
Super Alana lost out by a narrow margin when racing in a Restricted 56 handicap Strathalbyn and broke through for her second win back here early last month.
The daughter of Belardo won by over three-lengths that day and the runner-up from that has since franked the form with a win at metro level.
