The four-year-old has demonstrated good form in four starts since registering a sixth of 12 in a 1000m Morphettville event when racing first-up this spell.
Two of those four efforts have come when racing at metro level, including when beaten just over half-a-length in finishing third in a 1250m Class 2 handicap at Morphettville Parks.
The gelding is a versatile type, given he raced from the front that day, having been ridden from mid-division when two lengths third over 1050m at Morphettville before that.
Lancelotto heads into this contest on the back of a third in a Benchmark 58 handicap over this track/trip and has a good barrier in six here.
Brittany Wong’s mount usually races prominently, but has performed well when racing from mid-division in the past and he is taken to salute here.

Balaklava Best Bet - Race 5 No. 2 Pointless Praise
The gelding has acquitted himself well in three starts since breaking his maiden in a 1350m set weights contest at Strathalbyn in October.
Pointless Praise raced on a good 4 track that day and followed that up with a close third when racing at metro level in a 1600m Class 1 handicap at Morphettville just under two weeks later.
The four-year-old has shown solid form when up in trip following that Morphettville effort, including when beaten just over one-and-a-half-lengths in a 2050m contest at Strathalbyn last time.
He shaped as if a step up in distance would prove no issue when keeping on nicely for third, having performed best of those racing from off the pace on that occasion.

Joyce Ross AM Memorial Rating 0-56 Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Balaklava Value Bet - Race 6 No. 5 Magic Delta
Trained by Paula Trenwith, Magic Delta has shown a liking for this venue in the past, having placed twice here earlier this prep before registering a narrow victory over this track/trip in September.
The daughter of Better Than Ready contested a similar event to on a Good 4 when successful under jockey Nichola Yuen that day.
The mare has been tried at metro level since, while she finished a good sixth over 1000m in a Port Lincoln Benchmark 58 subsequently.
The six-year-old jumped at big odds for those metro efforts, but did acquit herself well when eighth of 12 in a Restricted 64 handicap over 1050m at Morphettville last month.
The return to this level is a positive and having shown a liking for this venue in the past, she looks value to register a win here.
