Port Lincoln Racing Tips for November 15

South Australian racing heads to Port Lincoln this Friday for a nine race program.
The rail is basically in the true position for the entire circuit and the track will be in the Good range come the first race.

Port Lincoln Best Bet

Race 6 No. 2 La Petite Rousse

We had this Mare as our best bet two back at this track when she won at $7 and we’re happy to stick with her again coming down in grade.

She clearly likes this track, having never missed the top three here and she’s coming back to a 56 grade race after finishing a length off them in 60 grade last start.

Her win two – back against a similar field was impressive when winning by a length and she probably should have won the start before that when she had to travel three-wide in the run.

Considering it’s a 1000 meter sprint there doesn’t look to be a lot of pace on in the race, so if she can kick up from barrier two and not go hard early, it should be very hard for her rivals to catch her down the straight.

Port Lincoln Next Best Bet

Race 4 No. 3 Debeersonus

This looks to be a match race between our top tip and Tolstoy who beat him two back, but we think the Simon Drewitt trained Gelding can turn the tables on him today.

They went along pretty quickly in that race two back at this track and that probably took its toll over the last 100 meters when he faded to finish just over half a length away.

He ran again at Port Lincoln last start in  similar grade and finished half a length off Peressini when looking the winner with 200m to go.

He drops in weight significantly today from the 59kg he carried last start and the race seems devoid of speed, so He should be able to get to the front and then dictate the race.

The main danger draws the rails which isn’t ideal for a back marker and if they don’t go quick he might just find it too hard to catch up to them when the whips are cracking.
