Diamond Scene has been in good form of late and the five-year-old will bee looking to atone from a ninth-of-sixteen finish in the 2024 Perth Cup.

After winning two of his first three starts this campaign, he was a month between runs when narrowly defeated in the G.A. Towtown Cup on Notherly Stakes Day and that 2200m feature will be one of the key form references for the Perth Cup.
Diamond Scene ($4.50) is favourite with Ladbrokes to win the 2025 Perth Cup, while second market elect, Casino Seventeen ($6) is aiming to go back-to-back in this 2400m feature.
Although he's failed to deliver in two outings following a return win in the Lee Steere Stakes, the seven-year-old did find winning form after contesting last year's Northerly Stakes and he now has a fitness base.
Buckets Ridge ($7) is one of the more progressive gallopers in this futures market and the four-year-old is a two-time stakes winner, with the latest blak-type triumph coming in the Northam Cup on October 27.
The Grant & Alana Williams-trained galloper finished second as a beaten fav in the 2024 WA Derby, which has been his only try over this distance to date.

Perth Cup Winners
After being run as a two mile event from 1887 to 2008, the distance of the Perth Cup was dropped to 2400m, given the lack of stayers competing in Western Australia.
While it lost Group One status in 1992, this feature has still produced some strong winners, with Western Jewel, Real Love and Delicacy all on the honour roll.
From 2022, the Perth Cup has returned to its traditional New Year's Day slot, after a brief period of holding in on the first Saturday of the new calendar year.
Midnight Blue (2022), Buster Bash (2023) and Casino Seventeen (2024) have won the last three editions of the Perth Cup.
