Holdfast Insurance Handicap Tips (Race 2)
Morphettville Value Bet - Race 2 No. 6 Alotafun
This filly was given time following an August 27 trial where she just couldn't quite finish off and with a little more maturity, backed-up an excellent jump-out win to prevail in excellent fashion at Gawler as our value bet on the December 2 program.
She didn't exactly have the favours in that debut victory when being forced to race wide throughout that 1100m contest and despite that, never looked like losing and the time stacked up well for that program with that Maiden going around five and a half lengths quicker than the Benchmark race that followed it.
Alotafun faces a new challenge now coming to town but is racing against the three-year-old's and with Barend Vorster remaining in the saddle, she's well worth respecting and is once again a decent opening price.
TAB Long May We Play Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Morphettville Best Bet - Race 4 No. 1 Poysed To Rein
This daughter of Sepoy has been completely luckless in four attempts this spring and off a little freshen-up, again made late inroads on November 28 but it was all a little too late and she had to settle for third.
After seeing nothing but backsides fresh, Poysed To Rein arguably should've won on October 17 but was inconvenienced at a key stage and following that on the seven-day turnaround, was the only one making any inroads in a leader-dominated affair on the Parks circuit (winner of that has since just missed in a Listed race).
Whilst she goes up in the weights for a big drop in grade back to a Benchmark 58 against her own sex, the three kilo Margaret Collett claim does give her some relief and the five-year-old is much better suited drawn out as she'll have time to wind-up and will have room out wider late.

Morphettville Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 6 Damascus Moment
Although I'm very wary of the returning Westport who is the most talented galloper in this field if right, the favourite hasn't quite come up via her last few campaigns and with more in this mare's favour, she does appeal as the safer option.
The key for this daughter of Magnus is staying away from wet tracks, which she hasn't been able to avoid in her last two attempts but the trial prior to November 29 return at Warrnambool indicated she'd returned well and first-up, only peaked on her run late with 60kg on a Soft 6 and the winner completed a hat-trick in the process.
Damascus Moment is unbeaten from both second-up tilts to date and looks much better placed coming back to the 1100m where she drops four kilos off that last run and under Jason "Stubby" Holder, can lead or take the box-seat given there is some speed drawn out in this field.
Adelaide Galvanising Christmas Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Morphettville Roughie - Race 7 No. 13 Lakhani Rose
The blinkers have now been applied to this five-year-old from the Richard & Chantelle Jolly stable, a training partnership that has recorded 13 winners at a very healthy strike rate of 26.53% since the start of October.
Whilst the overall record of Lakhani Rose to date reads quite well, she was very unlucky not to have built further on her winning percentage over the last autumn carnival with some desperately close defeats but made-up for that that with a big fresh victory on September 19.
She was sent for a little spell and following that, the Listed performance on return via the City Of Marion Stakes had merit and with the key gear change, isn't without an each-way hope in this feature if they're able to make ground out wider as the day wears on.
