Moonee Valley Racing Tips - Will Three Beans sprout in the 55 Second Challenge?

Moonee Valley will race under lights again after not racing last week.

They hold an eight race card that looks to have plenty of class in the line up.

The rail returns to the true position, where it was Cox Plate day, which played well for all horses.

Moonee Valley Favourites

Race 3 No. 1 Bianco Nuovo

This gelding from the Moroney yard has been running well in benchmark 78 class with 56kg and 54kg.

He is a natural front runner and always takes a strong horse to run past him. He is a horse that is always hard to catch, finding one or two better than him.

His last-start in this class was at Sandown in late August, and he won that race with eventual Group Two winner Oceanex in behind him.

Again he will get a chance to record his fourth victory at a track that he has already placed at.

Moonee Valley Roughies

Race 8 No. 11 Savvy Shields

I made her my value a fortnight ago and she ran third playing upwards of $4 a place.

She comes into this race from what I see as a much stronger race with form lines tying into our best bet of the night in Three Beans. The second horse in that race has been competitive at stakes level and Savvy was right on their tails.

Her issue here is that she has drawn a bad gate, but if she can be ridden vigorously out of the gates, she can certainly take up a very forward position.

If she can find the front without using too much gas, once again she is an each way special.

Moonee Valley Best Bet

Race 5 No. 10 Three Beans

This fast colt comes out of the Red Anchor Stakes which is a much superior form line than anything else in this race.

The question is if he can handle the step back in trip to the 955m. His two runs this time in over the 1200m have been fantastic against stronger opposition.

His first up run was very good behind Ambleve who has since won again.

Sartorial Splendor from the Red Anchor ran in the Coolmore Stud Stakes in his next start which was one of the highest rating 3YO races for the year.

Moonee Valley Next Best Bet

Race 6 No. 4 Heavenly Emperor

This gelding returned to the track as he left off, with a first up narrow second placing to Write Your Name at Bendigo.

Last preparation, he managed to string two wins in a row together before a third placing to the smart Buffalo River at the end of his campaign.

Second up, he is yet to miss the top two placings and has only missed the top three once over the mile.

He sat forward last start and will prove hard to run down if the stable adopt the same tactics once again.
