Kembla Grange Racing Tips for 23.11.2019 - Does Lucicello go again?

Metropolitan racing heads to Kembla Grange this Saturday for a nine race program with the feature being The Gong, a $1 million dollar race which comes up in Race 6.

Mild conditions are expected on a Good 4 surface and there's some chance of a shower or two in the afternoon.

Kembla Grange Favourites

Race 6 No. 6 Luvaluva

This multiple group winner looks set for a peak run third-up in The Gong.

She was second when fresh to the fit and in-form Greyworm who was able to eventually dictate proceedings on October 26 at Randwick.

Luvaluva settled last second-up after drawing out where she was still a run short but with plenty to do an impossible position, was again doing her best work late.

This is clearly the target race and the astute stable of John Sargent generally get them firing on grand final day.

Kembla Grange Roughies

Race 5 No. 8 Our Winnie

An honest six-year-old mare from the Gosford yard of Gregory McFarlane and she's going better than her price suggests

Wasn't able to win last time in but was thereabouts in most efforts which were practically all at Saturday level in Sydney and had a gear change leading into this campaign.

Was no match for Into The Abyss fresh who was there for a soft kill on October 7 but made ground and hit the line well as runner-up after settling back.

That runner has since placed at listed level and won in this grade last week giving Our Winnie a hope here in an open affair.

Kembla Grange Best Bet

Race 4 No. 7 Lucicello

She resumed at Rosehill on November 9 and won well from the back without a good tempo up front did this filly by I Am Invincible and out of the listed placed staying mare Lucciola.

Finds the same grade here via a fillies and mares benchmark 78 albeit a deeper one with inclusion of Misteed and Kylease who are both fresh or first-up.

Still willing to side with Lucicello as the best bet at Kembla Grange as we know she's returned well, will get the speed to suit up front and is definitely open to further improvement.

Can potentially settle a little closer from barrier three this time around and the grey will be looking to launch late.

Kembla Grange Next Best Bet

Race 3 No. 7 California Longbow

This son of Pierro has made every blackbook file this campaign and duly rewarded his followers with a last start victory at Rosehill on October 9.

The rise up in trip was the key or this Snowden trained galloper who was still the strongest on the line with a one length eventual margin and the extra furlong again is a tick.

As he displayed last time in, he's capable of getting over more ground and whilst rising in the weights, there wasn't anything taking ground off him a fortnight ago

Still has some upside given this is only his fourth run in and in the same grade, he's placed to win again.

There's more depth this time around but Lucicello can win go on with it in Race 4.

Don't see any great reason as to why California Longbow can't make it two in a row via the third.

Luvaluva looks the one to beat in The Gong.
