After winning one of three starts in his first campaign, Another Wil quickly worked through the grades last prep, with the son of Street Boss resuming with a BM64 victory at Sandown in January and he completed a fourth successive win via the Group 3 Doncaster Prelude on March 30.

While he was a touch plain as fav in the Group 1 Doncaster Mile a week later, the Ciaron Maher-trained galloper still wasn't disgraced and he'll likely be aimed at the main 1400m-1600m handicaps over spring.

Toorak Handicap History
The first Toorak Handicap was run and won in 1881, with this Group 1 currently one of the premier handicaps contested over the Melbourne Spring Carnival.
While the quality of recent winners doesn’t reflect the history of the race, with Galilee, Gunsynd and More Joyous among the former champions of the event, in 2023 Amelia's Jewel will run as one of the more popular elects in recent history.
