The striking grey finished midfield in the 2019 edition of The Everest in what was just his second racing preparation but is a far more furnished galloper now which was evident in a brilliant fresh win in the Group Two Shorts before racing three-wide throughout as runner-up in the Premiere Stakes.
Classique Legend will be partnered by two-time Everest winning jockey Kerrin McEvoy and is currently the $4.60 favourite with Sportsbetting ahead of Saturday's Everest.
Star South Australian gelding and 2020 Lightning Stakes winner Gytrash will jump from gate seven under jockey Jason Collett for the 'worlds richest race on turf'.
He was last seen upsetting Nature Strip in the Concorde Stakes on September 5 and has been ticking along with a trial win at Rosehill on September 28.
Brilliant first-up Premiere Stakes winner Libertini is one of three mares in The Everest line-up and she's come up with the widest barrier of 12 for Regan Bayliss.
Chris Waller has fared well at the barrier draw with both Nature Strip (barrier five) and Haut Brion Her (barrier three).
