Bringing strong form lines from the Sydney Autumn Carnival which includes a victory in the Adrian Knox Stakes, Duais hasn't raced since running second to Hungry Heart in the Australian Oaks on April 17.

She has drawn barrier 12 for the 2021 Queensland Oaks and Hugh Bowman will ride.

Running second to Duais in that Adrian Knox was Bargain (barrier four), who also finished third behind the same runner in the Australian Oaks.

That filly has subsequently run in Queensland, catching the eye in The Roses over 2000m.

Grace And Harmony from the Waller camp will be set to peak, running on for sixth after settling near last in The Roses, needing every but of the 2200m journey.

Last start Australasian Oaks winner Media Award will jump from barrier five under John Allen.

2021 Queensland Oaks Tips

Queensland Oaks 2021 Best Bet - Grace And Harmony

This filly was very well backed in The Roses last start at Doomben when simply getting out of her ground and having to find too much in too little time to win.

In saying that, she really hit the line well and looks every bit of a 2200m+ horse, and along with getting James McDonald on, she can only improve lengths from the last start effort.

At the price, this is the filly I want to be with, in what looks a race where Waller has set her up perfectly for her grand final.

Queensland Oaks 2021 Next Best Bet - Bargain

She was very good in The Roses when a drifter in betting and hitting the line very well over her final 100m, looking as if she needed the extra ground which she gets today.

That run was off the back of a third placing in the ATC Oaks behind Hungry Heart and Duais who she meets again here.

With the race fitness on her side and the perfect gate (4) to settle a pair closer, she is the deserved favourite in the event and the one they need to beat.

Queensland Oaks 2021 Value Bet - Media Award

At $61, it was a magnificent win in the Australasian Oaks by this Victorian filly who is now on a mission up North.

Media Award is a natural staying type and although I would prefer to be with her over 2400m, as the quality drops away after the top five or six chances, she is one that should safely find herself in the top six home.

I think she comes through the weaker Oaks reference heading into this race, but if she has improved, again, she has shown she has the fighting qualities to win at the top level.

Verdict

I want to be backing two horses in this race, Grace And Harmony as my main bet and saving with the favourite Bargain who looks hard to beat.
