Scarlet Oak made it three wins from four starts when taking out the The Roses on May 25, with that Group 2 being the traditional lead-up to the Queensland Oaks.

A brilliant New Zealand debut winner who joined the Chris Waller stable following her first race day appearance in March, the daughter of Kermadec bounced off a second-place finish at Randwick to record back-to-back wins over 1600m and 2000m.

At $2.90 with TopSport, Scarlet Oak heads the market for the 2024 Queensland Oaks, while Molly Bloom ($4.40) sits on the second line of betting.

A New Zealand-based filly who is prepared by Lance O'Sullivan & Andrew Scott, the daughter of Ace High resumed with an unlucky second in the Gold Coast Bracelet before a fifth-of-twelve finish in The Roses.

Mare Of Mt Buller ($6.50) is another contender from the Chris Waller yard and going off her last two performances over 1800m and 2000m, this three-year-old should relish the rise to 2200m in the Queensland Oaks.

Queensland Oaks Winners

The Queensland Oaks dates back to 1951, with champions such as Surround, Ethereal and Winx all past winners of this fillies feature.

From 1973-2014, the race was run over 2400m, but was changed to 2200m in 2015, before going back to 2400m in 2016 and once again back to 2200m in 2017, which we have seen it run at since then.

Duais (2021), Gypsy Goddess (2022) and Amokura (2023) have won the last three editions of the Queensland Oaks.
