Alcohol Free was purchased for 5.4 million guineas (around $10 million AUD) in last November's Tattersalls sales, with Yulong Investments sending their expensive new acquisition to Australia where she'll be prepared by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott.

A four-time Group 1 winnner in Europe, including a July Cup triumph over Artorius, the five-year-old goes straight to 1600m here, a trip which two of her major victories have come over.

A $3.50 favourite with Neds, Alcohol Free heads Levante ($4.50). a New Zealand mare that's well placed against her own sex after a competitive performance in the George Ryder Stakes.

A four-time Group 1 winner in New Zealand, the daughter of Proisir face her most winnable Australian assignment to date.

Sirileo Miss ($7) is airborne in Melbourne this campaign, with massive wins recorded both first and second-up over this distance.

The Symon Wilde-trained mare handles all conditions and makes her own luck on the speed.

Atishu, Hope in Your Heart and Pride Of Jenni all share a $9 quote for the 2023 Queen Of The Turf Stakes.

Queen of the Turf Stakes Winners

Registered and run as the Queen of the Turf Stakes since its 1972 inception, this feature was originally run over 1500m at Rosehill.

Gaining Group 1 status in 2005, the Queen of the Turf Stakes was moved to Royal Randwick in 2014 to form a part of The Championships and along with that upgrade, received a big prize money boost to now make it a $1 million race.

Also known as the Coolmore Legacy Stakes, the weight-for-age conditions of this Group One allows the premier mares to target it a long way out and the three-year-old fillies to take on the older females.

Con Te Partiro (2020), Nettoyer (2021) and Nimalee (2022) have won the last three editions of the Queen Of The Turf Stakes.
