The 2023 Queen Elizabeth Stakes will see the most anticipated clash of the Sydney Autumn Carnival, with Dubai Honour and Anamoe set to meet over the 2000m at Randwick.

Dubai Honour ($2.40) is the current favourite with Ladbrokes, a five-year-old that was brilliant in the Ranvet Stakes, recording a dominant win on Australian debut.

This European gelding is prepared by William Haggas, who won this race twice with Addeybb (2020 and 2021).

Anamoe ($2.70) sits on the second line of betting, with the Godolphin entire searching for Group 1 win number ten in this feature.

The son of Street Boss is unbeaten from three starts this campaign, which includes a brave ast start victory in the George Ryder, where he did cover ground.

Japanese seven-year-old Unicorn Lion ($8) rounds out the single figure chances for the 2023 Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

Trained by Yoshito Yahagi, who prepared Lys Gracieux (2019 Cox Plate winner), this gelding is a two-time Group 3 winner in Japan that has also placed at Group 1 level.

Queen Elizabeth Stakes Winners


Run as originally the Queen's Plate and then the AJC Plate, this Group One was rebranded as the Queen Elizabeth Stakes in 1954.

Distances have varied for this feature over history, contested over 4800 metres and 3600 metres but was reduced in trip with the Sydney Cup becoming more prevalent and since 1986, has been run over 2000 metres.

Carbine and Tulloch were famous Queen Elizabeth Stakes winners in earlier years, while more modern champions include Jeune, Might And Power and most recently Winx who won the Queen Elizabeth Stakes three years in a row (2017 - 2019).

Addeybb (2020, 2021) and Think It Over (2022) have won the last three editions of the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
