The 2022 Memsie Stakes is a strong edition, with a number of spring contenders set to kick off their campaigns over the 1400m at Caulfield.
Stradbroke Handicap winner Alligator Blood (barrier one) returns to the track after what has been a debacle to get him to the track in Victoria.
Now allowed to race with a new majority owner, he runs as a major chance to claim his first Group One at Caulfield.
WA star prospect Western Empire (barrier 12) looks to kick off his spring in style, although may be in need of the run, while unbeaten star Illation (barrier 13) has the Golden Eagle firmly in his sights this prep.
Cascadian (barrier 7) has been trialing as well as last week's Winx Stakes winner Anamoe of late, encouraging signs as he kicks off his prep.
Group One winning mares Tofane (barrier three) & Snapdancer (barrier five) both resume their preparations.
I'm Thunderstruck (barrier nine) is a star on the rise, but again has bigger targets in store while Duais (barrier 10) was scratched from last week's Winx Stakes and will instead run in this feature.
