The Aidan O'Brien-trained Anthony Van Dyck heads the betting markets for the 2020 Melbourne Cup where $7.50 is currently avaialble with Sportsbet.

The 2020 Caulfield Cup runner-up Anthony Van Dyck, the 2019 Epsom Derby winner, tops the betting after the barrier draw, replacing stablemate Tiger Moth on the top line of betting.

A lightly-raced son of Galileo who's had just the four career starts to date, Tiger Moth is set to be ridden by three-time Melbourne Cup winning hoop Kerrin McEvoy and will carry 52.5kg following a last start win in the Group Three Kilternan Stakes in Ireland.

Tiger Moth is $8.50, the same price as the hotly-fancied Surprise Baby, who ran a big race in the Melbourne Cup 12 months ago.

Sir Dragonet plummeted in the betting following his Cox Plate victory on October 24 and is another runner at single figures ($9.00). All three career wins of this five-year-old have come on soft going.

Dual Melbourne Cup placegetter Prince Of Arran is $9.50 to get his head in front at the third attempt at Flemington after an encouraging prep run in the Caulfield Cup.

One-time favourite Russian Camelot is at $13 to give trainer Danny O'Brien back-to-back wins in the race, the same price as 2020 Caulfield Cup winner Verry Elleegant.
