Makybe Diva Stakes 2020 Barrier Draw
A total of 16 runners make up the final field for the Group One Makybe Diva Stakes to be run over the mile at Flemington on Saturday, September 12.
Early market fancy Russian Camelot will have to overcome barrier 14 in what will be his first-up assignment ahead of a highly anticipated 2020 Spring campaign for the four-year-old who was last seen taking out the South Australian Derby in sensational style back in May.
Although 2019 Melbourne Cup winner Vow And Declare has also drawn out for trainer Danny O'Brien, he's fared much better with the 2019 VRC Oaks winner Miami Bound who arrives second-up following a strong return at Moonee Valley in August and has gate seven here with Ben Melham to ride.
Group One winners in Gailo Chop (barrier three), Harlem (barrier six) and Fierce Impact (barrier five) look to be three of the bigger winners from Wednesday's barrier draw for this $750,000 feature.
