Godolphin colt Paulele has won three Group races and recorded two placings at Group One level this autumn, the latest a second to Mazu in the Doomben 10,000.
A $4.20 favourite via Neds, the James Cummings-trained three-year-old held off Entriviere ($5.50) by half a length in the May 14 sprint feature.
A Group One winner in New Zealand back in January, the daughter of Tavistock is proving to be one of the more talented Kiwi sprinters in recent years.
Paulele and Entriviere are the only two runners at a single figure quote for the 2022 Kingsford-Smith Cup.
Apache Chase ($11) is on the third line of betting, shading Ellsberg ($13) in the early markets.
