A capacity line up of 16 (plus five emergencies) have accepted for the 2022 Kingsford-Smith Cup, a weight-for-age 1300m feature at Eagle Farm that was previously run as the BTC Cup.

Godolphin colt Paulele (barrier eight) retains the services of James McDonald for Saturday's Group One, with the three-year-old having placed twice at this level over autumn, the latest a runner-up to Mazu in the Doomben 10,000.

Paulele defeated Entriviere (barrier 17) by half a length in the May 14 sprint feature.

A Group One winner in New Zealand back in January, the daughter of Tavistock is proving to be one of the more talented Kiwi sprinters we've seen in recent years.

Last year's Epsom Handicap winner Private Eye (barrier 16) will be looking to bounce back off a disappointing run in The Doncaster Mile, albeit it was hard for backmarkers over The Championships.

The Joe Pride-trained gelding has won his only start at Eagle Farm, taking out the 2021 Queensland Guineas on a soft track.

Annabel Neasham has dual representation through Laws Of Indices (barrier 21) and Olmedo (barrier three), with the latter arriving off an improved effort via the Luskin Star Stakes at Scone.

The Kingsford-Smith Cup will be one of three Group One Features run at Eagle Farm on Saturday, May 28.
