2023 Inglis Sires' Value Bet - Butch Cassidy
Sent south to debut up the Flemington straight on March 4, this son of Written Tycoon launched late over the 1000m there in the Festival Stakes.
Dropping to a Mornington maiden and getting to 1200m at start two, Butch Cassidy won as a $1.50 should and he was looked after late in the piece.
While this is a big step-up, the Waterhouse & Bott colt does seem on an upwards spiral still, whereas a few contenders here have already peaked.
