2022 Inglis Sires' Tips

2022 Inglis Sires' Best Bet - Fireburn

Her Golden Slipper win was certainly one for the ages, bolting in with Australia's premier two-year-old event despite receiving major interference approaching the 700m.

Fireburn was badly checked from the heels of She's Extreme at that key stage and losing ground along with balance, has still picked herself up to prevail under Avdulla.

It's scary to think how far she wins the Golden Slipper by with even luck and over the 1400m of the Inglis Sires', an extra furlong shouldn't be pulling her up here.

Remaining on preferred heavy ground, the main query is now backing up two weeks later from that effort because if she holds her current form, then it's hers to lose.

2022 Inglis Sires' Next Best Bet - Let'srollthedice

Danny O'Brien heads north with this unbeaten son of Dundeel, a galloper that landed good bets on debut at Bendigo over 1100m, which was contested on a Heavy 9.

With market support over what was seemingly an unsuitable trip for Let'srollthedice, there was clearly confidence that he handles wet ground and it was a big margin.

This colt landed a Group 2 win on Super Saturday at Flemington, taking out the VRC Sires' in a professional performance over 1400m, which warrants this attempt.

Damian Lane stays aboard from those two victories and from a middle draw in Melbourne where he was able to build momentum, he's again drawn well in seven.

2022 Inglis Sires' Value Bet - Brosnan

By Snitzel and out of a multiple stakes-placed mare in Supara, this striking grey arrives off a somewhat unlucky effort behind Let'srollthedice in the VRC Sires'.

Finishing fourth at Flemington, he may well have made that interesting had he drawn a gate, but still balanced up nicely late in the piece after finding some traffic.

We saw Brosnan get home fairly from the rear via his Skyline debut over the Randwick 1200m, where a wide draw forced him to go back early on a Heavy 10 track.

In both summer lead-up trials, he did show tactical speed and now with blinkers going on, along with Tim Clark, don't be surprised if they're much more positive.
