2022 Golden Slipper Best Bet - Sejardan
The times were superior with the fillies (Reisling), but on a day where nothing else came from back in the field to win, his Feb 5 victory had as much merit as any.
Sejardan has won three of four and that included circling an entire field to score at Rosehill - a very tough ask, while the only loss came when wide/underdone in the Millennium.
The son of Sebring is a professional that is consistently getting the job done and third-up with a traditional Todman lead-up, Gary Portelli is timing his run to perfection.
A query has been a lack of tactical speed, although he's mostly drawn wide gates to be fair and from a kinder draw in a big field, he doesn't need to get so far back.

2022 Golden Slipper Next Best Bet - She's Extreme
At only start two, she ran the best last 200m of the Sweet Embrace and comfortably bettered anything recorded by the boys (Skyline Stakes) on Feb 26 at Randwick.
She's Extreme won last week and again out performed the males (Pago Pago), going more than six lengths quicker overall and recording the fastest last 200m of both.
The daughter of Extreme Choice has rocketed into Golden Slipper calculations and was a big winner at the barrier draw, drawing for a trail in behind a hot speed.
Her main query is now stepping onto firmer ground off two heavy outings, but could well just be in the race place at the right time for a feature lacking standouts.

2022 Golden Slipper Value Bet - Jacquinot
He reminds me a little of Anamoe in his two-year-old season, i.e. not an an out-and-out juvenile sprinter, but ability is taking him a long way, especially in a crop lacking class.
Jacquinot caught the eye on debut with a big Caulfield win on Boxing Day and resuming in the Blue Diamond Prelude, he was luckless on resumption in Melbourne.
He was huge for third in the Blue Diamond, sustaining a wide run for third and he hasn't been knocked about by a big prep on wet tracks, with just two runs in Feb.
On ability alone, I wouldn't be surprised if he blew them away and he clearly has another gear, with the blinkers now being applied to this colt for the first time.
